Listen Professional Headphones

Their tonal balance and precision when it comes to the audio spectrum make them ideal for assessing sound quality. In addition, their convenience and accessories are characterized by ideal headphones for business travelers. The sound class and dynamics of these headphones are downright surprising considering that a comparable level of quality is usually reserved for more expensive models.

Listen Professional’s attention to detail is also evident through the many patents and technologies that belong to Focal. Therefore, for example, a completely new transducer membrane was developed. The main goal was to propose a solution that would preserve the full dynamics of the original track, while accurately recreating every detail of the entire audio spectrum.

Despite the fact that these are closed headphones, they reproduce very vivid sound, giving the impression of semi-open headphones, while providing a level of isolation of closed headphones.

The speaker transducer received a suspension made of 100% Mylar, while the central dome consists of a Mylar-titanium alloy to provide greater rigidity and an extended frequency response at the upper end of the spectrum. Thus, the moving part is extremely light, allowing the transducer to exceed 40 kHz on a flat deflector. The reproduction of bass and sub-bass registers has also gained a lot of attention. Our team of engineers has managed to combine two factors that are very uncompatible: the tuning frequency, which is now as low as possible and extremely low distortion (0,3% at 1kHz - 100dB).

On-ear pads designed for perfect sound and insulation

The size of the ear cushions (height, width and depth) gives them volume that allows you to achieve a great tonal balance. Microfiber provides a more linear bass response, delivering an even better acoustic experience, while acoustic tissue, which is closer to the speaker, provides excellent absorption and linearity in the 3-9 kHz register. Basses and sections with a lower midrange range benefit from excellent tonal balance and excellent articulation, where compression and frequency response generally suffer losses in closed-back headphones.

Designed specifically for frequent and intensive use

The Listen Professional also features a headband with a unique design, ensuring comfort and durability. Its bend remains unchanged, regardless of the shape and size of the user's head. In combination with the silicone layer placed under the headband, we are ensured an even distribution of weight on the head, preventing the user from feeling pressure in certain areas, which can be very uncomfortable during long listening sessions. Horizontal and vertical rotation of the shell works thanks to one part: the connector integrated in each of them. The shells also feature a black, structural outer shell, making them resistant to impacts and scratches.
