ISFE64 is a 6-port PoE switch for DIN rail without power supply, designed to power IP cameras operating in the 802.3af/at standard. Switch on ports 1 to 4 has the function of automatic detection of devices powered in the PoE/PoE+ standard.

UP LINK ports (marked 5 and 6) are used to connect subsequent network devices using optical fiber (GBIC insert should be used). On the front panel there is an indication of the operating status of the device realized on LED diodes (description in the table below). The device has solutions that allow power supply from two sources (emergency power supply, redundant) - in the event of failure of one source, there is an immediate switch to backup.

PoE technology provides a network connection and reduces installation costs, eliminating the need to supply a separate power cable to each device. In addition to cameras, network devices that use this technology can be powered in this way, e.g. IP phone, access point, router

The device should be installed in enclosed spaces with normal air humidity (RH=90% max. non-condensing) and temperature from -30°C to +70°C. Free air access to the device shall be ensured.

If the device is installed in the housing, free convection air flow through the ventilation openings of the housing shall be ensured.

Before proceeding with the installation, a load balance Switch must be drawn up. Depending on the application, the appropriate power supply-PoE power supply is available only at 48 ‒ 57 V (52 V recommended).

The specified load value of 30 W per port is the maximum value relating to a single output.

The total power consumption should not exceed 120 W and depends on the current capacity of the power supply, taking into account the power consumption for the needs of the device. The increased demand for power is particularly visible when using cameras equipped with heaters or infrared reflectors - when these elements are switched on, the power consumption increases rapidly, which may affect the malfunction of the switch. Since the device is designed for continuous operation, it does not have a power switch, so it is necessary to provide proper overload protection in the power supply circuit.

Electrical installation should be made in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
