Automatic response to touch
The built-in sensor activates the mechanism when the cat touches or hits the toy. The bird begins to move its wings and make sounds, attracting the attention of the animal.
The mechanism does not work continuously, thanks to which it reduces energy consumption and reacts primarily when the cat takes up play.
Three modes of movement
The toy offers three variants of action that allow you to diversify the activity. A variable way of moving can keep your cat interested longer than a completely stationary plush toy.
The exact way to switch modes should be checked in the included instruction manual.
Catnip in a separate sachet
There is a zippered pocket on the bottom of the bird where you can put a catnip sachet. Its smell can increase interest in the toy and encourage some cats to be active.
Not all animals respond to catnip. For some, it can cause excessive stimulation, so the first play should take place under close supervision.
Charging via USB
The toy uses a built-in battery, so it does not require regular replacement of disposable batteries. According to the manufacturer, a full charge takes less than 90 minutes and can be enough for up to 200 activations of the mechanism.
Actual operating time depends on the selected mode, starting frequency and battery condition. The green LED indicates that the charging is complete.
Soft finish
The exterior is made of cotton fabric and short plush fleece. The soft surface is pleasant when grasping the paws and carrying the toy in the mouth.
However, the product contains an electronic module and is not intended for intensive, long-term biting. Cats destroying toys should only use it under supervision.
Loop for joint play
A small loop located on the back of the bird allows you to attach the appropriate rope or fishing rod for the cat. Thanks to this, the caregiver can additionally move the toy and conduct controlled hunting-like play.
Links should not be left with the animal unattended, as it can wrap around the neck or limbs.
Cleaning the toy
Before cleaning:
- Turn off the toy.
- Open the zippered pocket.
- Remove the electronic and drive module.
- Remove the catnip sachet.
- Close the empty cover.
- Clean it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Completely dry before reassembly.
The manufacturer allows washing the material part in the washing machine after removing the mechanism. The drive module, battery and catnip must not be soaked or washed.
