Encryption and security
The carrier uses hardware-based AES-256 encryption compliant with FIPS 197 standard, which ensures data protection at the cryptographic level. The device offers protective mechanisms against brute-force attacks: the user account is blocked after 10 failed login attempts, and incorrectly entering the administrator password 10 times in a row causes encryption erasure of content (crypto-erase).
Password Modes and Access Management
Locker+ 50 G2 supports multi-user mode (Admin and User) and two password creation modes: Complex (passwords 6 to 16 characters requiring the use of three of the four character sets) and Passphrase (phrases, numeric PIN or word strings 10 to 64 characters). The administrator can enable or reset the user's password, and the option to preview the entered password ("eye icon") facilitates correct login.
Type protection features and design
Additional security features include an anti-imprint coating and a built-in virtual keyboard to help protect passwords from keyloggers and screenloggers. The case combines metal and plastic, includes a keychain eyelet and a compact design with a cover (cap), making it easy to carry and secure your device.

The device works without the need to install additional software; all encryption tools and login mechanisms are located directly on the flash drive. Kingston ensures compatibility with Windows systems (m.in. Windows 11 and its editions) and macOS (m.in.
