Pellet feed for rabbit

Why choose Dr. Rodents pellet feed?

Pellet feed, also called granules, for the miniature rabbit is produced in Poland from the best quality ingredients. The formula of the food was developed especially for us by Belgian specialists in the field of small animals. Food in the form of granules does not allow the pet to choose only the ingredients that he likes the most but forces a balanced diet. Hard granules help in grinding teeth, which is very important for rabbits whose teeth grow throughout their lives. The food in the pellet contains the right proportions of all nutrients, minerals and vitamins.

Food for rabbit miniatures in the form of pellets. Adequate proportions of fiber in the form of fibers contained in Dr. Rodents feed limit the hypertrophy of incisors, molars, stimulate peristalsis of the small intestine and counteract constipation. Optimal content of protein, mineral substances, maintaining an appropriate ratio of calcium to phosphorus has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the kidneys, heart, rapid regeneration of wounds, proper functioning of the nervous system, as well as muscle stimulation. Reduced calcium and oxalate content may inhibit the development of kidney stones in miniature rabbits. The food contains natural provitamin A (beta carotene) contained in carrots, and thanks to the addition of vegetables and fruits, i.e. Peas, apples and grass mixtures, including corn, veterinary food has not only nutritional but also taste values.

  • Oat bran - a valuable source of fiber, beta-glucans, unsaturated fatty acids and oleic acid; positively affects the condition of blood vessels (reduces the risk of fatty deposits inside blood vessels). • Pea flakes - provides easily digestible protein, insoluble as well as soluble fiber and chlorophyll. It contains a lot of vitamins. A feature of pea flakes is their attractive taste for rabbits, which additionally affects the fact that they want to eat Dr. Rodents food.
  • Corn flakes - this is an additive responsible for the energy value of rabbit food; in a small amount as a component of rabbit granules - supplies energy thanks to it our pet has more strength to play.
  • Dried apple - reduces the risk of digestive problems such as diarrhea, gastritis and intestinal infections. Due to the relatively high content of simple sugars – the amount of apples in the rabbit’s diet should be small and under strict control.
  • Dried parsley - a flavoring additive with a high content of vitamin C.
  • Dried plantain narrow-leaved - in addition to minerals, in the daily diet supplements deficiencies of vitamins C and K
  • Linen oil - is a must-have in the diet of rabbits. It contains omega-3 acids and supports the absorption of nutrients, mainly vitamins.
  • Calcium carbonate - a beneficial effect on the skeletal system, which is especially important during development because it prevents skeletal deformation.

Dosage of rabbit food

It is assumed that pellet food should account for 15% to 20% of the daily volume of food consumed by the rabbit. The amount should be adjusted to the appetite and health of the specific pet. It is recommended to divide the whole food intended for a given day into 2 or 3 portions. Rabbits are usually foodies and will eat everything they are given, so do not overdo it with the amount of food.
