The router allows you to use the mobile Internet after inserting an active Nano SIM card. The connection can be shared with devices wirelessly via WiFi or wired using the included LAN cable.

The power supply allows you to connect your router to electricity right away, while the Ethernet cable allows for a stable connection to your computer, TV, console, or other device equipped with a power socket.

The included instructions make it easy to get your device up and running. The original box ensures safe storage and transport of the entire set.

Another ZTE router in our offer - this is the younger brother of the successful MF286 model. If you compare the parameters, both routers are similar. Except that this one here (MF296R) has a faster processor and better WiFi module, which supports bandwidth control and the latest type of WPA3 encryption. It is still a 5 AC WiFi module.

The router aggregates 2 bands, which allows it to achieve a maximum of 300 Mb/s. Of course, the speed depends on the load on the transmitter and the signal level. Fortunately, you can improve the latter by connecting an external antenna. The router has two solid SMA antenna connectors.

As in the higher model MF297D, there is NFC technology, which is used to quickly connect to the router's wireless network. Just turn on the module on your phone, apply it and you're done. If this does not suit you, you can disable this function in the menu. You may think it's a detail, but you'll be surprised how quickly you get used to it :)

WHERE WILL THE ROUTER WORK?

ZTE MF296R can be used as the main or backup source of the Internet:

• in the house and apartment

• as an emergency connection in case of failure of a permanent link

SIMPLE OPERATION

Starting the set is very easy:

1. Place the active Nano SIM card in the router.
2. Connect the power adapter to the router and outlet.
3. Wait for the device to connect to the carrier network.
4. Connect your phone, computer, or other device to your router's WiFi network.
5. If necessary, configure the settings through the panel available in your browser.

The router remembers the settings, so when turned on again, it can automatically connect to the Internet and share the WiFi network.

The problem with this router is that there is a lot to write about, but I will try to do it in simple soldier words. So:

• The router aggregates two bands - that is, when downloading creates two parallel connections to the transmitter. This, in turn, allows him to achieve higher speeds. Especially with the transmitters loaded.
• remembers the PIN code of the card - on some Orange (and NJU) subscription cards it is impossible to disable the PIN code. This router remembers it, so that when the voltage goes out, you do not have to enter it again manually.
• wireless network - works in AC1200 technology and is able to handle up to 64 users. In addition, it supports the latest WPA3 encryption method. In the menu you will also find the possibility of setting the wireless network schedule - that is, the hours when it is active. The last thing - WiFi supports Band Steering - thanks to this technology, the router gives one network name on both bands (2,4 and 5 GHz) and switches you (automatically) between one frequency and the other.
• 4 LAN ports - of course maximum speed 1000 MB/s
• RJ11 connector- router can also be used as so-called. GSM is missing. Supports VoLTE technology.
• SMA antenna connectors - if you have a weak signal, you can help yourself by connecting an external antenna. The router has an antenna array in the so-called. SISO - this means that you will feel a significant improvement on one antenna. The second connector is used only for high frequencies.
• Bridge mode - well - those interested know what it's all about :)
• possibility to enter your own DNS servers - as above :)

The router is made of white matte plastic - white on the front and gray on the back. On the front 3 LEDs that expire and the ZTE and NFC logos. The minimalism that the designers decided on gives it elegance.
