The hook positioner is an essential component of a carp rig. The special shape significantly improves the effectiveness of the leader.

Its task is to turn the hook down with the tip at the moment of jamming so that the fish jams into the lower lip. The worm-shaped positioner reminds fish of natural food, making it a great camouflage on the bottom.

Carp leader with worm – how to make

This leader is in the shape of a worm, which is to be imitated. In our offer you will find 2 types of such worms, one light green, the other is light brown.

We can use these worm positioners both for pop up sets and for sinking balls.

The advantage of this positioner is that our hook rotates the blade towards the lower lip so that the fish are perfectly jammed.

It also works well when fish take gently and are afraid of ordinary positioners on our hook. Imitation of a worm passes the exam here.

To make this leader you need:

Leader braid 25 lbs

Hook wide gape walkdy

52 mm anti-tangle protector for choice of green or brown

Positioner worm – green or brown to choose from

Stoppers for balls
