Onvif

Onvif (Open Network Video Interface Forum) is an organization of CCTV manufacturers focused on the issue of standardization, a common protocol for these devices. This group was created to unify the protocol, i.e. the way of communication between devices of different suppliers. Currently, the entire organization brings together about 450 companies and institutions from around the world.

Since its introduction, the Onvif standard itself has undergone successive stages of development and encountered various unexpected problems. It happened that two different devices with the implemented protocol did not work or their functionality was limited. Today, the standard is offered in version 2.6 and in the vast majority of cases allows for seamless integration of any devices.
