Herman Sprenger ULTRA-PLUS training spike from Curogan, clamp version. Length 63 cm, wire 4 mm, link 5 cm. Two wheels to attach the leash, nickel-free copper alloy.
Herman Sprenger is a German manufacturer with over 150 years of tradition in the manufacture of training equipment for dogs. His equipment is standard in professional dog training around the world.
Curogan is a nickel-free copper alloy developed by Sprenger. It is chosen for dogs that react to nickel, and where a black coating could discolor a light coat. The material has a warm, golden hue and acquires a natural patina over time.
The 4 mm wire and 5 cm link are the strongest version of the ULTRA-PLUS range, designed for large and strong dogs. Thicker wire distributes pressure over a larger area than the 3,2 mm version and works calmer, but with a dog with a slimmer neck it can simply be too large.
In the clamp version, you attach the leash to the wheels, and the pull tightens the collar evenly around the perimeter. This is a classic earring mechanism, without ClickLock fastener.
The collar has two fixed wheels. The lanyard attached to both blocks crimping, and plugged into one allows the collar to work like a classic clamp earring.
The ULTRA-PLUS system allows you to add and subtract cells in pairs, and each such change is 10 cm of circumference. This will allow you to adjust the earring to the neck of a specific dog.
The earring is designed to work on a leash during active training. Do not use it while running freely, in transport or unattended.
How to choose the length: the earring is to lie tightly just under the dog's jaw and can not sag. Measure the circumference of the neck at this point and choose the length closest to the measurement, and the ULTRA-PLUS system will later allow you to correct it every 10 cm by adding or subtracting a pair of cells.
