SMART CHARGE 15 LCD is an electronic rectifier for charging 12 and 24 volt acid batteries:

• WET (wet-acid),
• GEL (gel),
• MF (maintenance-free),
• AGM (with fiberglass mat),
• EFB (for vehicles with Start-Stop system)

The 9-step charging process ensures optimal charging conditions for the battery. The automatic control system will adjust each of the 9 charging stages to the correct charging of the battery:

• STEP 1 - Diagnostic (Diagnostics) - analyzes the battery and checks whether it can accept charging current, prevents charging the damaged battery
• STEP 2 - Recovery charge (Pre-charging) - low voltage batteries are pre-charged with low current but with increased voltage; very discharged batteries can be restored to their useful state and this ensures a longer battery life, the stage is skipped if the battery is minimally discharged and in good condition.
• STEP 3 - Soft start (Soft start) - rectifier gradually increases the charging current from reaching full charging current
• STEP 4 - Pulse charge – the battery is charged with pulsed current (pulse fluctuations take place in the DC current range)
• STEP 5 - Reconditioning – preparation stage for bulk charge
• STEP 6 - Bulk charge – constant current charging to previously set voltage (14.4÷14.7V)
• STEP 7 - Absorption charge – after reaching the required battery charge level, there will be a change to constant voltage (CV) charging and the charging process will be completed
• ETAP 8 - Evaluation diagnostic - automatic monitoring of battery voltage after charging
• STEP 9 - Maintenance charge – stage supporting the battery (float) and monitoring its condition; resumes charging with reduced current if necessary.

The rectifier housing has a protection rating of IP 65 (splash-proof and dustproof).

The device is equipped with protection: thermal, against the formation of sparks at the pole terminals, against short circuit of poles, overload and reverse polarity.

LCD display

The rectifiers have a microprocessor control system and LCD display which greatly facilitates monitoring and adjusting charging parameters.

The rectifier has a microprocessor control system, provides automatic shutdown when the required voltage is reached on the battery and automatic resumption of charging after the voltage drops on the battery.

Charging function of cold batteries: optimizes charging at very low temperatures (low temperatures can adversely affect the chemical structure of battery components).
